ASCII Art Book

A love letter to art of a bygone era. What began as an underground art scene in early 90s Warez cracking groups, transitioned to nearly every forum in the 2000s, with text art found in posts, signatures, comment sections. Some talented artists featured here have pushed the medium further than most, with an avid following keeping the art style alive. Limitations become opportunities through a fixed set of characters, colors, and formats. This is an exploration into and celebration of this highly unique art style.

This project is titled under the generalized ASCII text art definition, and it should be noted that individual pieces are made of ASCII, ANSI, and other related text art disciplines.
